Originally from South Korea, Yeonchul Lee did not think much about filmmaking at the time of college applications. For reasons still unknown to him, he chose to major in film at Hanyang University in South Korea, and has been making films ever since. He came to Los Angeles in 2010 to study at the prestigious American Film Institute and obtained his Master’s Degree in Directing. His thesis film Be With Me has played in various festivals. He is currently working as a freelance filmmaker in Los Angeles.
