Bio

Trae Harris is an artist from Baltimore, refined in Brooklyn, and now navigating Los Angeles. They blend movement, poetry, and visual aesthetics, to explore the journeys of queer women of color. Has acted in HBO’s The Wire debut in their teenage years to Sundance features like Newlyweeds (2013) and Netflix’s Orange Is the New Black (2014), award-winning shorts Hair Wolf (2019) and The Vacation (2023). Beyond acting, Trae self-published a poetry chapbook, Hindsight, and the short film collection Detachment I & II. Recognitions including the Ruby Grant and a Sundance Episodic Intensive Fellowship underscore Trae’s noteworthy artistic journey.
