Bio

Stacey Marbrey cut her teeth as a line producer on Sofia Coppola’s first film Lick the Star, and acted in and was the production manager for Cauleeen Smith’s Independent Spirit Award-winning film Drylongo. Marbrey wrote, produced, and directed Unspoken, a film about perceptions that won the Student SAG Award and the National Black Consortium Community Award, was inducted into the Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame, and screens periodically on BET JAZZ. A graduate of San Francisco State University, Marbrey is the recipient of the Davis-Putter Award and is currently developing a trilogy about self-discovery.
