Bio

Soojin Chung recently produced Escape From Tomorrow, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in 2013 generating buzz throughout the industry. Hungry For Love will be Chung’s feature film follow-up. Previously, Chung has helped to produce numerous award winning short films that have screened at festivals worldwide such as The 8th Samurai and Portrait For Leonore as well as worked on feature films including Park Chan-Wook’s Lady Vengeance.

Chung is a member of Motion Picture Editors Guild and received her Master in Fine Arts from the American Film Institute Conservatory. Chung was awarded the American Cinema Editor’s Eddie Award and was nominated for Best Editor at the Show Off Your Shorts Film Festival. Recently, Chung co-founded a production company, AMENIC CINEMA, and has several projects in various stages of development.

Logline

Priscilla Jones, an overweight, philosophy major who lost everything to Hurricane Sandy, decides to eat herself to death by binge eating through New York City. Along the way, she meets and befriends fellow over-eater, Giovanni Rotunno, a lonely, pastry delivery driver, who winds up joining her mission to end it all.
