Sonja O’Hara is an Emmy-nominated queer writer, director and actor who was selected as a “Filmmaker To Watch” by Independent Magazine. Past recipients include Moonlight’s Barry Jenkins. O’Hara’s debut feature Root Letter (TUBI) stars Danny Ramirez and received the ReFrame Award. She is set to direct Harvey Keitel, and Rita Moreno in her upcoming psychological thriller, Theirs. O’Hara created the Webby-winning Shudder limited series Doomsday, which was described by Indiewire as, “Part Midsommar, part Yellowjackets, promising salvation in the sexiest and scariest way possible.” O’Hara is represented by VERVE Talent & Literary Agency and Gotham Group.
