Sarah DiLeo is currently in post-production on a feature adaptation of Rudolfo Anaya’s award-winning novel Bless Me, Ultima. The film is written and directed by Carl Franklin and produced by Sarah DiLeo, Mark Johnson and Jesse B’Franklin with executive producer Christy Walton. Filming wrapped in Santa Fe, NM in late 2010.

Sarah was the Supervising Producer on a slate of short documentaries financed by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation in 2009-2010, focused on individuals making a difference in education reform. These films were made as part of a larger initiative with partners including UCLA, Sundance Institute, Viacom and TED, and will be distributed across multiple platforms.

Sarah has produced many short films; her most recent won Best Film at NBC Universal’s Short Cuts Festival in 2009. Prior to becoming a film producer, she worked in commercial production for Young & Rubicam and Bates Worldwide ad agencies.

Sarah has been selected to participate in the BBC Studios training program in London, the Sundance Institute Independent Producers Conference, and the Film Independent Producers Lab, as well as Women in Film’s Mentorship Program.

Sarah received a BFA in Film Production from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts, where she was a National Merit Scholar and a Tisch Trustees Scholar. She received her MFA degree from the UCLA Producers Program, where she was awarded the Andrew Kuehn, Jr. Marketing Fellowship and the North American Theater Owners Fellowship in Film.
