Bio

Robyn Kershaw is one of Australia’s most successful independent producers. Kershaw has produced drama and comedy for theatrical and TV markets for 20+ years, focusing on projects that make people laugh, think and celebrate life.

Kershaw has achieved box office and ratings success, and international festival acclaim at more than 20 international film festivals, including Cannes, Sundance, Berlin and Toronto. Recent work includes “My Mistress” (2014) starring Emmanuelle Beart, and “Sucker” (2015) starring YouTube star John Luc with 300+ million views.

Kershaw produced award winning musical film and box office hit “Bran Nue Dae” (2009) starring Geoffrey Rush, and “Looking for Alibrandi” (2000) starring Anthony LaPaglia and Greta Scacchi, which won five AFI Awards, including Best Film and Best Actress.

As Head of Drama and Narrative Comedy for the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, Kershaw commissioned and executive produced over 150 hours of award winning drama and comedy series, including the International Emmy-nominated “MDA” (first Drama nomination for ABC) and “Kath & Kim” (series I, II & III), the highest rating sit com in Australian history and the highest rating show on ABCTV in 2002, 2003 and 2004.

Kershaw is a member of the Producer’s Guild of America and Ateliers du Cinema European.
