Richard Kim is a young cinematographer born and raised in beautiful Honolulu Hawaii. He now works and resides in Los Angeles. As a child, film watching and the visual arts were a way for Kim to explore the world beyond the isolated paradise around him. With the discovery of the power of images to elicit emotion and action, it became clear that films could provide more than just entertainment or escape. Filmmaking has allowed Kim to travel to places that were once only a reality in movies, among them the Philippines, Mexico, and across the continental US.
