Rahul V. Chittella is an independent filmmaker. He has collaborated with prolific filmmaker Mira Nair as her creative and producing partner on The Reluctant Fundamentalist, Words with God, Nafas and A Suitable Boy. He is currently producing the Monsoon Wedding Musical that premieres at the Roundhouse Theatre, UK in 2020. Rahul is the writer-director of Azaad, which was India’s first film to be screened by UNESCO at the prestigious World Press Freedom Day forum. Azaad has won awards at many film festivals including the International Film Festivals of Zanzibar and Stuttgart. Rahul is currently mounting his directorial feature film titled Gulmohar.
