Bio

Olivia Silver grew up in Connecticut and California and is a graduate of the UCLA MFA Directing program. After earning a BA in English from Williams College, she worked in book publishing and foreign policy before turning to filmmaking. Olivia’s short film Aisle 73, starring Bob Larkin and Angela Paton (Groundhog Day), screened in festivals around the world. Her thesis film Little Canyon premiered at the 2009 Sundance Film Festival and screened at Edinburgh, Denver, Sarasota, LACMA Young Director’s Night and numerous other festivals. In addition to Film Independent’s Directors Lab, her feature script Arcadia was selected for the Sundance Producing Lab, IFP/No Borders, and the Berlinale Talent Project Market.
