Bio

Nicki Paluga frequently writes for Sam Raimi’s horror production label, Ghost House Pictures. Currently, she is also a Creative Associate on the Raimi executive produced television show, The Wizard’s First Rule. Paluga is a graduate of Columbia University’s MFA Film Program where she received numerous awards and fellowships, including the ScriptConnect Fellowship, the Columbia Casting Fellowship, and a Merit-Based Film Scholarship. During her time at Columbia, Paluga also penned The Swiss Village, which garnered the prestigious Zaki Gordon Award for Excellence in Screenwriting as well as the Kathryn Parlan Hearst Screenwriting Award.

Her script Dear Lemon Lima, co-written by long-time collaborator Suzi Yoonessi, was selected for the IFP No Borders Market, Tribeca All Access Connects 2006, and the Film Independent Screenwriters, Directors, and Producers Labs.

Prior to graduating from Columbia in 2005, Paluga was an associate producer at Universal Digital Communications, where she scripted and edited commercials and corporate promotional videos. Paluga is also a theatre graduate of Ohio Northern University.
