Bio

Nathan Swisher has produced numerous short films since moving to Los Angeles in 1998. Recent credits include Sean Mewshaw’s 35mm film Last Night starring Frances McDormand. The film screened at the Venice Biennale and the Hamptons International Film Festival, among others. The documentary When the Storm Came screened at the San Diego Asian Film Festival, Sundance Film Festival and was short-listed for the 2004 Academy Awards.

Nathan’s professional experience in feature post-production provides him a unique producing perspective. He has worked on numerous studio releases, including both theatrical and DVD releases of The Lord of the Rings trilogy.

Currently, Nathan is in preproduction on the new short film Deuce Deuce, written and directed by Fabian Marquez.

A self-loathing Chicano man finds redemption by helping a young Mexican woman reunite with her son, kidnapped after crossing illegally into the US. Set in border towns along the US-Mexico line, the story treads across a rarely seen netherworld, where no one is who they seem and there's a hustle around every corner.
