Bio

Nadav Kurtz is an Israeli/Japanese/American filmmaker. His work has shown at festivals such as Sundance, True/False, and Sheffield. His directorial debut, Paraiso, won Best Documentary Short at multiple festivals, nominated for a Cinema Eye award and short-listed for an Academy Award. He directed the award-winning campaign, One Chicago, for the City of Chicago, directing thirty-five short, personal accounts of immigration. He also has two decades of experience as an editor. Untitled Sam and Omar Project is his first feature film.

Logline

Omar Bader was only eight years old when his father Sam, a film producer, was sentenced to 24 years in prison. Now twenty-three, and struggling under the weight of his father’s long absence, Sam attempts to help Omar summon the courage to pursue his artistic dreams through a creative collaboration.
