Bio

Meredyth Wilson grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area and came to filmmaking through a background in photography and creative writing. She received a BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and an MFA from UCLA’s School of Theatre Film and Television.

Wilson has produced and directed a number of short films and documentaries including Hold Fast: The Story of Eastside College Preparatory School (KQED 2002), The Black Plum, (Wolfe Video) and Shugar Shank, (Wolfe Video).

Wilson’s current projects include producing/ directing My First Pony, a documentary looking at gender and sexuality through stories of first-time strap-on experiences, writing the feature Night Hawk, & directing / editing a pilot for the webseries Minutesteaks, featuring the talents of three inch action figures in a Minute Men like gang.

Logline

An injured soldier returns to civilian life as a cop in a rural Texas town. Torn between the man he was, and the man he has yet to become, he takes on the otherwise ignored investigation of a dead undocumented immigrant. No one wants him to pursue the case, including the captain, who is also his father.
