Bio

Luz Agudelo Gipson, a Colombia native, attended Columbia College Chicago where she
received her BA in Film and Video. While at Columbia College she produced a combination of
independent shorts and thesis films. Shortly after graduation, she had the privilege of working
for one of the nation’s leading political consulting firms, AKPD Message and Media. There she
contributed her production expertise to countless television, radio and web commercials made
for the “Obama For AmericA” 2008 presidential campaign. The campaign was a recipient of the
Titanium and Integrated Lions Grand Prix award at Cannes. With the success of the Obama
campaign under her belt, Gipson transitioned to the digital media sector, joining See 3
Communication, a company that uses media as a vehicle for social change. Later, she was
asked to return to AKPD on a full-time basis for the 2010 mid-term elections. During her second
run with AKPD, Gipson continued to produce numerous commercials across multiple platforms.
Gipson is currently the executive producer of nationally acclaimed music and audio house,
Comma. There she has lead the establishment of their Hispanic division, and is now
spearheading the efforts to ensure their library continues to grow nationally. She is eager to
producer her first feature, and is passionate about seeing Girl With Child come to life!
