Luis Antonio Aldana is an award-winning filmmaker whose Oscar®-qualified sci-fi short, The Ballad of Tita and the Machines, executive produced by Lena Waithe, earned critical acclaim. It premiered at the 2023 Tribeca Festival and screened at TIFF (Rising Voices). His feature script, Angel In Retrograde, was a finalist for Tribeca’s Untold Stories. Aldana won the Humanitas Prize and was named one of the top 25 screenwriters to watch in 2024 by the International Screenwriters Association. He and his writing partner, Miguel Angel Caballero, are currently adapting a sci-fi novel for television with Ley Line Entertainment.
