Bio

Published author Lisa Bolekaja is a Film Independent Fellow, a Nicholl’s Fellowship Semi-Finalist, a member of the Black Science Fiction Society, and currently the 2nd Vice President of the Organization of Black Screenwriters. She can be found at the beach on any given weekend walking her Fox Terrier “Ripley”, named after Sigourney Weaver’s character in Alien, updating her blog “What Fresh Hell is This?: The Lisa Bolekaja Chronicles,” or knocking back sweet teas and mahi mahi tacos at Mission Beach with her comic book artist J creating her horror graphic novel Skin.
