Kendra Kurosawa was born and raised in Hawaii, where she earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Hawaii-Manoa. After working with architectural firms in Honolulu, San Francisco, and Santa Rosa, she embarked on a freelance writing career that included developing business plans, Web sites, and technical marketing materials for several Silicon Valley companies. She also edited a business strategy book, Futurize Your Enterprise, and wrote and co-edited promotional videos for Anomalous Productions and IBM. In March 2004 Kendra received her Certificate in Feature Film Writing from the UCLA Writers’ Program
