Bio

Juliane Dressner is a director, producer and cinematographer who makes character based films that often explore economic and racial justice. Her feature-length film Personal Statement (AFI DOCS Opening Night, SXSW EDU) was broadcast on PBS and nominated for an Emmy Award. Its impact campaign was supported by the Gates Foundation. Dressner’s other films include The Scars of Stop-And-Frisk, which was part of an Emmy-winning season of the New York Times Op-Docs series. She won the National Magazine Award for video for her film An Education, which was published by The New York Times.

My NDA follows several people as they decide to break their NDAs and, at extreme personal risk, go public with their stories. Through them, we see how a simple intellectual property contract has become a weapon used by those in power to silence, manipulate and control.
