Julia Kennelly is a filmmaker based in Los Angeles. Her short film Marcy Learns Something New won a Special Jury Mention in Comedy at Aspen Shortsfest, and premiered online on Short of the Week, garnering Vimeo Staff Pick’s Best of the Year Award. Kennelly has produced numerous short films, including The Neighbors’ Window, which won the 2020 Oscar for Best Live Action Short. Other films she’s produced have been in competition at Sundance, SXSW, Tribeca, Outfest and Palm Springs Shortfest, among others. Kennelly line produced the HBO documentary series The Vow, and is a 2023 Sundance Producing Lab Fellow.
