Bio

Jackie Stone is a writer/director and a graduate of New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts. Stone’s films have premiered and screened at Cannes Short Film Corner, Chicago International Film Festival, Tallahassee Film Festival, Sistahs is Doin It For Themselves Film Festival, S.E Manly Short Film Showcase, American Black Film Festival, Durango International Film Festival, HBO Networks, among others. Stone has won numerous honors and awards for her films including the Vague, Warner Brother’s and Kodak Production Awards, grants from New York State Council of the Arts and the Jerome Foundation. Her scripts have also garnered attention and awards including semi-finalist for the Showtime Visions from Ground Zero Fund for Kite, a Jerome Foundation award winner, and she has been a finalist for both the Sundance Screenwriting Institute for The Last Suicide and the Nickelodeon Screenwriting for a television spec script. She was an AICP finalist for her spec commercial work. Stone is also the creator of two web-series, Compersion and Camille.
