Bio

Before Evelyn Lee could walk, she was crawling around with crayons in her hands attacking any clean wall she could get to. That passion eventually led her to Cornell University and while working towards her undergrad degree she worked in NYC as a graphic designer. After Cornell she decided to head out to California to attend the MFA program in Experimental Animation at Cal Arts. It was there that she discovered animation, and her love for filmmaking. Her thesis film, Kanizsa Hill, screened at various festivals and won awards at Ann Arbor Film Festival for Most Promising Filmmaker, and at San Francisco International Film Festival for a Golden Gate Award for Best Animated Short. After receiving her MFA, she worked at several post-production and animation studios where she worked on numerous features films, television episodes and commercial spots as a visual effects artist, a designer and an animator. She recently began to direct viral spots and branded short films for various clients including Scion and GOOD, while developing her next independent film, Graveyard Spirals with which she attended the 2012 Berlinale Talent Campus.
