Danny has worked as a Production Designer and Art Director in film & television for over eight years. His credits include award-winning films such as HEAVY, SUTURE, and DRUNKS. He also art directed many national television commercials and a number of music videos.

In 2001 Danny received an MFA from the directing program at the American Film Institute. His short films, Apology to Josh Fleischman, Empty Space, and Drive, comprise a trilogy that explores the yearnings of a child protagonist.

Apology to Josh Fleischman premiered at Taos Talking Pictures. The film also screened at a number of other festivals including Newport International Film Festival and Raindance where it was chosen to be included on the Best of Raindance DVD. “Danny Goldfield’s beautifully paced, framed, and photographed Apology to Josh Fleischman is just that, a graceful little wordless confession about a boyhood transgression, ” wrote Arion Berger in the Washington City Paper.
