Corey Dashaun grew up in Rochester, New York, and at a young age, he discovered a love of storytelling through trips to the cinema with his father. He received his MFA in Writing and Producing for Television from Loyola Marymount University. He is a 2020 Village Roadshow Emerging Talent fellow and a Seriesfest Executive Mentorship fellow. His TV pilots have placed in several competitions such as the Carol Mendelsohn Drama Fellowship with Humanitas and the Sundance Episodic Lab. Corey displays his commitment to social-political change by telling layered queer stories that give voice to those that are systemically voiceless.
