Bio

Charlie Kimball grew up in Oregon, where he honed his love of the arts as an acting company member of the nationally renowned Oregon Shakespeare Festival. After a six-year career as a professional actor, Mr. Kimball made the transition to film production. The seeds were planted for Mr. Kimball when he served as Producing Director of a fully financed stage production. Within a few years, he had conceived of and orchestrated an artistic fundraiser for the
development of new plays that resulted in an 880 % return on the initial investment. Charlie’s foray into film production was working on Rodrigo Garcia’s Nine Lives, which was recently released by Magnolia to outstanding reviews. During this production, he served as Location Scout and Assistant to the Producers. He met Jonathan Sanger (The Producers) and joined up with his Grand Illusion Films to develop a number of properties alongside their Creative V.P. Mr. Kimball then worked as Assistant to the Production Coordinator on Lions Gate’s Undiscovered. Immediately following, he served as the Production Coordinator for a series of promos for FX and Discovery Channel. Currently, he is working as Assistant to Gail Mutrux, whose most recent film was the Fox Searchlight release Kinsey.
