Carmen Cabana is a cinematographer who was born and raised in South America (Colombia/Venezuela). Since the age of 15, she focused on developing her painting and still photography skills, but eventually found cinematography to be her career path. Her unique vision and effective way of working have led to securing numerous projects and allowed her to build a name among other filmmakers. Her main effort focuses on complementing a director’s vision through semiotic methods of visual storytelling. Cabana likes to be involved in all stages of the film production process and works closely in collaboration with other departments. She understands cinematography as the art of complementing a statement without being redundant.
