Brittany “B.Monet” Fennell is a graduate of Spelman. She studied writing and directing at NYU and was granted the Graduate Film Department Fellowship. Strings Attached, a short film she associate produced premiered at Cannes Court Metrage. Her short lm Q.U.E.E.N. starring Elle Varner premiered on Magic Johnson’s channel ASPiRE. Recently, she shot a feature length documentary called Little Sallie Walker, which features Stephanie Person, the first African-American professional skateboarder. She’s worked at Beyonce’s production company, Parkwood Entertainment. She completed a documentary #RiseUpOctober with Dr. Cornel West on the #BlackLivesMatter movement. Currently, she is developing Q.U.E.E.N. into a feature and a short lm for the Bureau of Creative Works that will be released on VHX.
