Bio

Originally from Utah, Bridget Bedard moved to New York City to attend NYU’s prestigious MFA directing program. She was named Best Female Student Director by the Director’s Guild of America East and her short films screened worldwide at festivals and on cable, including the Sundance Film Festival and the Sundance Channel. She went on to write for television, writing for the first season of Mad Men (AMC), which won a Golden Globe, a Peabody, an Emmy and Writer’s Guild Award for Best New Series, and Ray Romano’s Men of a Certain Age (TNT), which won a Peabody and was nominated for a Writer’s Guild Award for Best New Series. Bedard has since written for both cable and network. She currently writes on Jill Soloway’s Transparent (Amazon), serving as Supervising Producer, and is Co-executive Producer on Sachs/Judah’s The Night Shift (NBC). She has also taught numerous courses in screenwriting and directing, recently teaching a two week television seminar for NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts Singapore campus. Her work has been supported by numerous grants and foundations including Screen Gems, Inc., the National Endowment for the Arts, The Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences, and many others.
