Bio

Brett Haley is currently in post-production on the feature film I’ll See You in My Dreams, which he co-wrote and directed. The film stars Blythe Danner, Sam Elliott, June Squibb, Martin Starr, Rhea Perlman, Mary Kay Place, and Malin Akerman. Prior to I’ll See You in My Dreams, Haley co-wrote and directed the feature film The New Year, which screened in more than 20 film festivals, including the Los Angeles Film Festival. The New Year won the Audience Award for Best Narrative Feature at the Sarasota Film Festival and was a Critic’s Pick in The Village Voice and LA Weekly.

Haley started his professional career as an assistant to directors Terry George (Reservation Road, Hotel Rwanda) and John Hillcoat (Lawless, The Road, The Proposition). He grew up in Key West and Pensacola, Florida and graduated with a B.F.A. in Film Directing from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in 2005.
