Bio
April A. Wilson is a writer, director and editor. She draws upon her experiences as a young African-American woman growing up on Chicago’s South Side. She’s inspired to make films about self-identity ranging from race to gender to orientation to religion and how identity influences our life and choices. Wilson holds a BFA from New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts in Film and Television.
She recently completed her MFA in Cinema Directing at Columbia College Chicago.
