In 2012, she was one of ten actors accepted to the Theatre National de La Colline. Volpe also worked as a first assistant director, which gave her a well-rounded sense of all aspects of filmmaking.

In 2013 her first short film Blast won the Jury Prize in the International Festival of Young Talents France/China. She was then invited by the French Embassy of China and obtained a grant from the French Cultural Institute of Beijing in order to begin to shoot her first multi-media project HEIS in China.
