Aaron Celious

Bio
Aaron Celious is a filmmaker and sociologist. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan, where he won a Hopwood screenwriting award like fellow alumni Lawrence Kasdan and Arthur Miller. He is a fellow of the Bill Cosby writing program at USC, a 2010 HBO Directing Fellow finalist, and a Groundlings theater alumna. Celious’ recent webseries, Jesus is My Co-Pilot, was licensed by SiTV (Latino Entertainment Television) and garnered Outstanding Comedy Series and Outstanding Directing awards in the LA WebFest 2011. The series stars Randall Park from Nickelodeon’s Supah Ninjas, Dwayne Perkins from Comedy Central Presents, Bobby Lee from Mad TV, Johnny Skourtis and Gudrun Flaherty. Celious is currently revising the project as a pilot. As a sociologist, he consults on the Human Genome project, Los Angeles County Metropolitan Transit Authority, Los Angeles World Airports, the City of Los Angeles Department of Disability and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles. Celious speaks Spanish and English. He enjoys exploring the world and has traveled extensively through Central America, the Caribbean, Europe and Africa.
