The annual Directors Close-Up, our signature program celebrating the art and craft of directing, is back featuring conversations with directors, writers and creators nominated for the 2025 Film Independent Spirit Awards.

Directors Close-Up 2025 will consist of nine online sessions taking place over the course of two weeks; January 27-31 at 12:00 pm PT, and February 3-6 at 5:30 pm PT.

Each session will highlight a unique Spirit Awards category and only Film Independent Members have the opportunity to tune in live and join the discussion with panelists.
