Imaginar TV Incubator for Fearless Latinx Creators

A two-week program built to further the careers of Latinx creators in dramatic television

The Film Independent Imaginar TV Incubator for Fearless Latinx Creators is a new program created to support Latinx Creators, made possible by FX, in collaboration with the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP). Held over two weeks in June at the Film Independent offices in Los Angeles, this innovative new program will sponsor six Latinx Creators as they participate in a series of workshops, conversations and individual meetings designed to provide them with valuable support, insight on the FX drama programming brand and direct access to industry leaders.

The first part of the two-week Incubator will be a three-day intensive that will focus on workshopping selected one-hour drama pilots, deepening pitch skills, and gaining access and insights into the FX development process. Creators will pitch their original one-hour drama pilots to FX at the conclusion of the initial intensive. Over the remainder of the program, Creators will have individual meetings with creative advisors and executives to develop a second original drama concept that will be pitched to FX on the final day of the Incubator. A $3,000 grant will be awarded to each participant.

We are in search of unique stories that fit both the FX and Film Independent ethos of fearless storytellers with a bold vison to explore the human condition. This program is also specifically built to support and nurture writers in the process of developing one-hour dramatic series for FX. While we welcome projects that reflect applicants’ cultural heritage, we are open to all genres and subject matter from applying participants.
