Spirit Awards Nominee Brunch to take place on January 4, 2025
LOS ANGELES (April 18, 2024) – Film Independent, the nonprofit arts organization that produces the Film Independent Spirit Awards, announced today that the 40th annual Spirit Awards will take place on Saturday, February 22, 2025. Marking four decades of independence and excellence, these awards serve as the cornerstone fundraiser for Film Independent’s year-round initiatives, dedicated to supporting a global community of artists and audiences who embody diversity, innovation, curiosity and uniqueness of vision. Additionally, the annual Nominee Brunch is scheduled for Saturday, January 4, 2025.
“For 40 years, the Spirit Awards have been the beacon for bold and original independent storytelling,” said Josh Welsh, President of Film Independent. “As we commemorate this significant milestone, we look forward to celebrating with the independent creative community on February 22nd”.
The 39th Film Independent Spirit Awards took place in Santa Monica on February 25, 2024, hosted by SNL breakout star Aidy Bryant. Top honors went to Past Lives for Best Feature and Beef for Best New Scripted Series.
