You’re invited to join us for an online screening of a program of four Undocumented Filmmakers Collective shorts, which will be followed by a live conversation with the writer/directors of the films.
 

The Films

The People in Costume – 9 mins

Nine Nights – 8 mins

Over the course of nine nights, an undocumented and widowed Indian American mother takes the treacherous journey to reunite with her separated children by smuggling herself through the US/Mexico border.

Painting the Back of the Hill – 12 mins

A documentary feature depicting the lives and struggles of Black artists in the second-most gentrified city in the US.

Con Dios – 12 mins

Seventeen-year-old Pablo Sanchez is an aspiring architect longing to go to college. With acceptance letters coming in but no clear path to citizenship, Pablo’s growing anxiety causes him to take matters into his own hands.

Film Independent Members and the general public can register for this event starting at 4:00 pm PT on Monday, August 14. | Registration is free; one registration per individual.
