Members-Only Online Screening: Millers in Marriage
Members-Only Online Screening: Millers in Marriage
Film Independent Members, you and a guest are invited to watch Millers in Marriage in our Film Independent Presents Online Screening Room, powered by Vision Media. A pre-recorded conversation with writer/director Edward Burns is included as part of this screening experience.
Millers in Marriage follows Eve Miller (Gretchen Mol), the former lead singer-songwriter of an indie rock band, who finds herself drawn to a music journalist (Benjamin Bratt) amid a toxic marriage to her former manager (Patrick Wilson.) Meanwhile, Eve’s sister Maggie (Julianna Margulies), a bestselling author, is encountering challenges in her marriage of 30 years as her career success surpasses that of her husband, Nick (Campbell Scott), an esteemed author. At the same time, Renee (Minnie Driver), a recently divorced successful fashion executive, is navigating a budding relationship with Andy Miller (Edward Burns), an artist who is juggling his feelings for Renee and his recently separated wife Tina (Morena Baccarin), Renee’s former colleague.
A coming-of-age story for adults in their 50’s, Millers in Marriage tracks the thorny emotional lives of three siblings adrift in middle age, surveying the vagaries of long-term love while championing the possibilities for personal change.
The film was an official selection of the 2024 Toronto International Film Festival and the 2024 Stockholm International Film Festival.
From Republic Pictures, Millers in Marriage will be released in theaters on December 6 in Los Angeles and New York.
