Bored, gorgeous and spoiled Manhattan step-siblings Sebastian Valmont and Kathryn Merteuil are on summer break from their elite prep school. They hatch a plan for revenge on Kathryn’s ex-boyfriend, but Sebastian seeks a bigger challenge: seducing the new girl who is living the chaste “no sex until marriage” life.

The 1999 cult hit Cruel Intentions offers a titillating world of ’90s fashion, fantasy, debauchery, and shockingly little parental oversight, where the privileged children of aristocrats look down from their Central Park apartments upon us mortals – mere pawns in their cruel games.

Now, experience this salacious tale of sex, lies and spoon rosaries firsthand as 2025 Spirit Awards nominee Julio Torres (Fantasmas, Problemista) directs an exciting new cast in a one-night-only Live Read, in partnership with MUBI, at the DGA New York Theater.

The outstanding cast includes Cristin Milioti, Amy Sedaris, Julia Fox, Justice Smith, James Scully, Tomas Matos, Martine Gutierrez and Spike Einbinder.

Special thanks to Roger Kumble for making this event possible.
