Film Independent Presents: Festival Visions is a new three-part series that shines a light on films discovered this year in regional film festivals across the US. We’re excited to present these exceptional titles that are currently without distribution and deserve to be seen by a wider audience.
You’re invited to join us for an online screening of Liquor Store Dreams, followed by a pre-recorded conversation with director So Yun Um, moderated by Drea Clark (Programmer, Bentonville Film Festival).
Liquor Store Dreams was selected in partnership with the Bentonville Film Festival and will screen alongside Seasick. Executive Producer Diane Quon is a Film Independent Fellow, who participated in the Documentary Lab and Fast Track program.
Liquor Store Dreams is an intimate portrait of two Korean American children of liquor store owners who set out to bridge generational divides with their immigrant parents in Los Angeles.
