Who will host? Who will get snubbed? Who will down so much booze they slur their way through their acceptance speeches?

Awards Season Fever is rising. And, of course, we can’t help obsessing over how the 30^th anniversary of our favorite shindig, the Film Independent Spirit Awards, will play out.

One thing we do know is that our Film Independent family already is getting in the mood to celebrate. Rosemarie DeWitt, Steve McQueen, Jason Reitman, John Waters, Jeff Bridges, Laura Dern, Zach Braff, Jill Soloway, Jason Schwartzman, Ray McKinnon, Rosario Dawson, Reese Witherspoon and many more have sent us video greetings in honor of the occasion.

Being the quirky and unpredictable artists they are, each put their own unique stamp on their video. Some went sappy/nostalgic (Zach Braff, speaking with the utmost sincerity: “It is an honor to get drunk on the beach with all of you”). Others (McKinnon) went aloof. (“Who the fuck is this?”) Soloway went with compliments. (“You don’t look a day over 29!”) Waters went weird.

Being the quirky and unpredictable awards show that we are, we’re flattered by it all.
