Logline
Loco is a surreal comedy about mental health and its stigma in the Latine community. At his first therapy session, Rafael Reyes relives the panic attacks, anxious thoughts, and overbearing family that boiled over on the night of his 25th birthday.
Synopsis
Loco alternates between Rafael’s first therapy session and flashbacks to the night of his party prompted by his therapist’s questions, in a darkly comedic, situational set-up/reveal structure. This all leads up to a surreal, climactic showdown with a demon-like version of his Latina mom (IYKYK). While the subject matter is serious, the humor eases audiences with levity and heart.
