Logline

When Isabelle thrifts a funky jacket, the spirit of Rosa, a bubbly 2000’s ghost, comes to life launching them on a journey to discover more about each other, themselves, and the unexpected connection to one another.

Synopsis

We slam right into Isabelle (17) and Minerva (36) arguing about a party that Isabelle really wants to go to. After Minerva threatens to take away her thrifting privileges, Isabelle quickly exits the car, ending their discussion. As she browses the aisles of her personal heaven, Isabelle spots the ultimate thrift gem: a funky, glittery and fabulous jean jacket. But there’s more. The jacket summons the spirit of Rosa (17), the y2k preppy teen who owned the jacket. She asks Isabelle if she can help her cross over into the other side and in return, she can keep the dazzling jacket. So the mission begins…Isabelle tries to google it but she can’t find anything so she suggests the boring library. On their way there, they pass by locations that are familiar to both of them and the last one is a party house. Rosa gravitates towards it and is instantly taken back to the night she died and she remembers her death. She comes back to the present in shock and tells Isabelle to take off the jacket until she figures out why she hasn’t crossed over. Right after, Minerva finds her. As soon as they get home, Minerva scolds Isabelle but she stands up for herself. Minerva threatens to take her thrift bags, the jacket falls and Minerva instantly recognizes it. Isabelle puts two and two together and puts it on. As soon as she does, Rosa appears and Minerva can see her.
