Logline

Manifest is an old fashion story of mystery and suspense, in a Film Noir style -with brushes of surrealism.

Synopsis

Three individuals with very unlike personalities and life styles, share a corridor to their living quarters in a daunted old house.

As daily events take place their lives intertwine, revealing their true nature; as well as their past, dreams and human instincts.

Outcomes can be dicey…

Meet the Filmmakers

Cecilia Garza-Trevino — Producer
In 1978, I started my Master’s degree in Architecture at the University of Texas at Austin. Minor hours required are in addition to the hours necessary for the student’s chosen major.

When I learned of the Radio-Television-Film (RTF) Department at UT, I immediately applied for the Graduate Film Program.

Through 1979-1980, I took Production I and II, a Screenwriting Course and a Director’s Seminar with Edward Dimytryk.

In the spring of 1981, I started writing a film script that I named Manifest. It was intended to be my Thesis to obtain my Master’s Degree in Film. Yes, I knew that the length limit was 30 minutes and it would have allowed me to enroll back into the RTF Department and have use of the editing facilities for the film’s final cut.

Yet, the Thesis project was conceived as a Pilot; a presentation and marketing tool to seek investors, producers, talent, selling of the rights, etc. for a full blown production development and distribution of the movie. I had $10,000.- to invest.

Then, the how and why the story that I wrote, evolved by leaps and bounds into an Austin Community Manifest -is another story; worth of a book I’ve been told.

I decided to finish the movie Manifest.
