Synopsis

Dénouement is a melodrama focused on the mundane. Slow’ish cinema. A portrait of two characters. From the generative image of waiting for a lover in a hotel suite, we have Ned exploring the detailed belongings of Lara, whose eventual arrival and commanding presence unfolds the narrative in a series of emotional and introspective moments. Torquing the tension between quips and silent pauses.
