Logline

When the perfect woman stumbles upon a dirty chained prisoner in the desert she falls into an unrequited love she kills to control culminating in a life changing revelation.

Synopsis

Princess Salomé is the celebrity of Ancient Judea. The incessant gossip and obsession over her is juxtaposed with her complete isolation. All the while she’s forced to grapple with her father’s death, mother’s infidelity, and stepfather’s sexual advances.

Constantly being idolized and sexualized, Salomé’s anger and her position as a princess is the only power she clings desperately to. Once she comes across someone who won’t submit to her and doesn’t want her for her beauty, she gets hooked and seeks to posses him for herself.

When she literally has his head in her hands, she comes to the profound revelation that her obsession wasn’t love, and realizes the only way to save herself is to have walk into the unknown with faith.

Meet the Filmmakers

Olivia Gray – Director
Olivia graduated from George Washington University with a B.A. in International Affairs and Contemporary Cultures and Societies. Her culture courses dissected global film through the lenses of relevancy, composition, and socio-political influence. She also studied French in Paris. During Uni, Olivia realized her love of actings and split her time between DC & New York taking acting classes with Yale, Juilliard, HB Studio and The Barrow Group teachers.

In 2018, Olivia traveled to London to study professional acting from the founders of the famous Drama Center.

Even though Olivia has been writing all her life she hasn’t pursued writing professionally until recently. In the summer of 2022 she shot the first short she co-produced #Melissa, and wrote a Pilot with a long time friend after working as a PA on WestWorld. Currently she’s writing 2 screenplays to be produced.

Taking on the roles of producer, writer and director for her own films and other projects allows Olivia to gain more control and security as an artist while moving the needle forward. More importantly, Olivia’s work naturally has minorities and women at the forefront exploring the possibilities the types of stories that reflect the real variety of the real world.

She’s an avid runner, and she’d like to make it to the moon. Someday. She’s still fond of evergreens.
