Synopsis

Go inside the high-stakes world of those who dare to lead the game they love to play. Pro football insiders take audiences behind the headlines on their thrilling American adventure in the coaching profession, where your calling is also your job, and the jobs, at the pinnacle of sport, are few. As with the elite athletes they mentor, teach, and train, opportunity is a linchpin that holds a decades-long career together or unravels dreams, even as they work to make the dreams of others come true.
 

Meet the Filmmakers

Tarana Harris Mayes – Director/Producer
Producer-Director Tarana Harris Mayes had a front row seat to her father’s 40-year coaching career. She explores the coaching profession, and the personal side of an NFL career, through her dad’s trajectory to paint an intimate portrait of the game’s stoic leaders. To date, her team has independently produced vérité footage and interviews with pro football legends and future stars, all for the love of the game.

Tarana is the Emmy and Peabody Award-winning force behind Capacity Media, a multi-platform production company. A graduate of Stanford University, Tarana honed her craft at ABC News headquarters in New York and has logged twenty years experience in the storytelling industry. Her work has been appreciated by millions on Good Morning America, Nightline, World News, and The Oprah Winfrey Show, among many others. Of all the stories Tarana has told as a writer and television producer, her favorites are the extraordinary stories of ordinary people. Tarana resides in Atlanta, Ga. with her husband and their two daughters.
