Ed Rada
Edward Rada provides consultancy services for trusts, estates and not-for-profit organizations, most currently serving as Interim Chief Financial Officer for the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts in Beverly Hills. Previously, he was Director of Business Operations for Film Independent; Interim Director of Finance for Oregon Shakespeare Festival in Ashland, Oregon; and Chief Operating Officer of Entertainment Industry Foundation, in Century City.
Edward served in leadership positions at The Music Center in downtown Los Angeles for 19 years – twelve years as Chief Financial Officer for Center Theatre Group, four years as Managing Director of Center Theatre Group and three years as President of the Music Center Foundation, the investment entity established by The Music Center and its Resident Companies. While at the foundation, he oversaw an investment portfolio of $300 million, executing decisions of its investment committee, of which he was a member, and Board of Directors.
Before joining The Music Center, he was Director of Finance at Old Globe Theatre in San Diego, California. He began his career at Ernst & Whinney in Century City, where he was a supervisor in its Entertainment Business Management practice. He moved from there to serve as Controller for Hands Across America and its parent organization USA for Africa/We Are The World.
Mr. Rada is a Certified Public Accountant (inactive). He received an A.B. in Economics from Occidental College, completed The Executive Program in Management at UCLA’s John E. Anderson Graduate School of Management and earned Commonfund Institute’s certificate of completion for its Endowment Institute, Level 1, at Yale University. He serves on the Boards of Directors of Film Independent, Mike Kelley Foundation for the Arts, USA for Africa/We Are The World, Boston Court Pasadena and Friends of Soochow University, Taipei, Taiwan.
He is a Pasadena native and currently resides in Hollywood.
