You’re staying at home, you’re maintaining social distance and you’re helping curb coronavirus. We’re doing the same! But, that does mean Film Independent’s in-person events are still on hiatus. So, what can a Member enjoy from the comfort of their own couch these days? Quite a lot, in fact.

Live Events

Every week, you’ll find new live events here at filmindependent.org. All you need to do is head to the events page to register for Coffee Talks, conversations, classes and more. Worried about something exciting selling out? Arts Circle and Film Lover Members are guaranteed access to most events.

On Demand Content

Recordings of our online Film Education events are made available to Members, with videos posted 48 hours or less after the conclusion of each event. To view recorded content On Demand, log in to your Member account at my.filmindependent.org.

Film Independent Presents

Our monthly screening series, Film Independent Presents, keeps the calendar full of exclusive screenings of films and TV series that take place in our Film Independent Presents Online Screening Room – plus exciting and insightful conversations with the creators. After you RSVP, you’ll receive details about how to watch the screening and/or participate in the Q&A.

Member Networking

Looking for ways to connect with other Members? Just log in to my.filmindependent.org and select Networking. You can post or search for jobs, stay up-to-date on Member projects and get news from Film Independent.

Artist Development

Members receive a significant discount when applying to our Artist Development Labs & Programs. We’re currently accepting applications, so don’t wait! (It’s OK if you do procrastinate a bit, though – we offer exclusive extended deadlines for Members.) Bonus: if you’re a Filmmaker Pro or Arts Circle Member, you can apply for free.

Fiscal Sponsorship

Only Members can apply for our Fiscal Sponsorship program, which can open up a whole new source of funding for your project. We are currently fiscally sponsoring over 100 narrative features, docs, series and shorts, with donations rolling in every day. Plus… application fees for Filmmaker Pro and Arts Circle Members are waived.
