Bio

As Producer, Julian’s film Clemency just won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance 2019. His award-winning documentary The Crash Reel, directed by two time Oscar nominated filmmaker, Lucy Walker, premiered at the Sundance film festival and was nominated for a Gotham Award and a DGA Award among others. Released in 2015 on HBO is The Lion’s Mouth Opens, an award-winning documentary about Huntington’s Disease that premiered at Sundance and was on the Academy Awards short documentary shortlist in 2014. Previous projects include the award-winning fiction feature Greencard Warriors in which the promise of a better life is shattered when two families are confronted with the brutal reality of raising their children in Los Angeles. Tackling immigration issues the film stars Vivica Fox and Manny Perez. Originally from Hong Kong, Julian is also the co-organizer of TEDxVenice Beach and teaches at USC’s
School of Cinematic Arts.
