Born and raised in Bermuda Kalilah Robinson attended Stanford University where she studied Psychology and Film Studies. A growing interest in the film industry led her to a film production course in Los Angeles where her love of the motion picture camera was born. Following university Robinson worked as a freelance filmmaker and in the fall of 2010 she founded Somers Isle Productions, an independent production company dedicated to the development of film and television projects about Bermuda’s rich cultural heritage. Though versed in a multitude of positions, the camera department has always been Robinson’s abiding passion. She currently freelances as a Cinematographer and Producer while studying Cinematography at The American Film Institute.
